Kasumi Ninja is a visually great arcade fighting game and an exclusive title for the Atari Jaguar video games system!
Review
STORY / GAMEPLAY Stop the Evil Ninja Lord Gyaku from opening the Dragon Cloud temple's portal to Hell and unleash his demon minions upon Kasumi Island and the world. In single mode, the player is initially only able to choose between two characters (Habaki and Senzo). Other characters are unlocked progressively at the successful completion of each stage. The game is named after the game's setting, a mystical island called Kasumi Island. The objective of the game is to kill the big boss, Gyaku, a very powerful demon. Kasumi Ninja is a tough game to play as the controls are very sluggish and, at times, unresponsive.
GRAPHICS / SOUND The game's graphics are great and colorful (it uses the same engine as Primal Rage). The backgrounds are photo realistic with several layers of parallax scrolling while the digitized characters look nice with some decent animation, though it may get choppy at times. The sound is also great featuring awesome tunes and sampled sound effects during gameplay.
